I’m a supporter of the idea that everyone is always doing their best. When we feel stuck in cycles that seem to repeat themselves – I see it as us trying our best to survive. We often stick to what’s comfortable – being our own critic, worrying about what others think of us, not liking where we are, etc. This could be how we learned to cope with uncertainty. When I work with folks I like to see us as two explorers on a journey of discovery.

I work with folks to recognize patterns they may be repeating, tolerating/managing distress, challenging stories we have made about ourselves, using your past victories to support yourself, and most importantly accepting and being kind to ourselves. We are always worthy of kindness regardless if we “failed” “made a mistake,” or faced a setback.

I am a person who has experienced my own “mental health stuff.”  I’m a lifelong learner when it comes to supporting myself and others.
